The assistance Loose Change has given has certainly eased financial pressure on Samwel. He has been able to purchase half an acre of land on the outskirts of Arusha. The plan is to build a permanent orphange building, housing 20 full-time care children. That building is estimated to cost USD100,000 to construct. In addition, NOCET plans a building of 4 rooms for Nursery and Kindergarten classes, and a small medical laboratory. The lab would offer testing services to the wider community. Income generated from the classes and lab would assist NOCET to become self-sufficient. Produce would be sourced in bulk from local farms, there would be no rent; schools are within walking distance. The local community benefits in many ways. A win-win situation. But … we have a long, long way to go yet!
Sheryl has established a Building Fund, and seeks donations, particularly from community groups and businesses.
Half an acre of land has been bought on the outskirts of Arusha. Lush farmland surround this plot, which will make for a wonderful environment for NOCET’s permanent structure.
A set of plans and costing has been commissioned.
Discussing those building plans and costs. A Building Fund has been established.
